Top 5 Game Releases 2013

grand-theft-auto-5

We are almost to the middle of the year. There have been some game releases that have been great, and some that didn’t do that well. I am looking forward to these 5 game releases that are promising to be some of the best this year.

5. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

At number five I have Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, one of the best upcoming game releases for this year. AC developers Ubisoft have always had some of the most challenging and accelerating missions. As you play the game you discover something about the game, the characters, and even a bit of history every now and then.

This chapter of Assassin’s Creed is going to be almost exactly like Assassin’s Creed III. There will be two halves to this one story, on one side you will be playing and following as Desmond and on the other you will be playing one of Desmond’s ancestors. In this game you will be Assassin Edward Kenway, a notorious pirate from the Age of Piracy. The story will be taking place in the Caribbean, so you can expect ship-based and land-based battles.

4. Call of Duty Ghosts

Coming in at number four is Call of Duty Ghosts. Infinity Ward and Activision are really trying to outdo themselves with Call of Duty Ghosts; they are making it as realistic, graphically and story-wise, as possible.

COD Ghosts follows a group of people that are trying to survive in a desolate country. The war that was taking place has really taken a toll on the citizens and the country. These groups of men are going to stop at nothing to make sure that their country is taken back; making sure that whom is responsible pays for what they did. And yes, one of your new teammates is a very furry, slobbering, and adorable four-legged mess. But don’t his good looks fool you, this canine has the ability to assist you in combat and in bomb sniffing.

We’ll just have to wait and see if Call of Duty Ghosts lives up to expectations.

3. Battlefield 4

Number three is number four, Battlefield 4 that is. If there is one thing that EA has done right, it’s their Battlefield game series.

This Battlefield game is going to follow character “Recker,” who was a US Special Forces squad member and his battle. Recker is accompanied by Staff Sergeant “Irish” and combat medic “Pac.” It has been confirmed that the United States, China, and Russia will be playable factions in the game. It has also been confirmed that the female soldiers will not be playable characters in the game. This is one game that will definitely be worth the wait.

2. The Last Of Us

At number two comes in the PlayStation exclusive, The Last of Us. Developed by Naughty Dog, this game could be every zombie apocalypse prepers dream.

The story follows Joel, a black-markateer, and Ellie, a fourteen year old girl. Joel promised a friend that he would protect Ellie in that zombie infected world, at all costs. Things get complicated when they have to avoid other humans that are scavengers, as well as avoiding infected zombies, and even the US military that is trying to get to Ellie. Will they be able to survive and get to a safe zone? Play and find out!

1. Grand Theft Auto V

Grand_Theft_Auto_V

Did anyone expect anything less? Of course the number one spot would go to one of the most anticipated games of all times. Rockstar has never let us down with any of the Grand Theft Auto games, and I think that we have waited a long 5 years since the last GTA.

The player is going to be able to play as all three of the main protagonists, they are: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. Each player is going to have a special ability. Michael can rappel down buildings, Franklin is a professional sniper, and Trevor is the helicopter pilot, best part is that you can interchange between characters.

These five 2013 video game releases are looking very good, and I can’t wait to see what other all new video games that will be released this year.
